Why three month as the minimum option?
We think this is a sweet spot where the pricing is good for growing artists, but also gives you enough time to see the effects of your marketing efforts on your music.
What does 'upgrading' an artist profile mean?
When you purchase a plan, you're buying a certain number of artist upgrade slots (for example, 1, 3, 5, 10, or 20 artists). You then manually choose which specific artist profiles you want to upgrade using your upgrade slots. Musicstax is already tracking tens of millions of songs and artist profiles. By upgrading a specific artist profile, you will have that artist's metrics refreshed more often (every 12 hours instead of 2-7 days), and be able to tie in other streaming and social platforms (Deezer, TikTok, SoundCloud, YouTube Music, Instagram). You will also be able to see all the historical data for all the songs we are already tracking for that artist. For non-upgraded artist accounts, you'll still see historical popularity scores, but won't have features like stream counts or social media statistics unless those artist accounts were to be upgraded.
Is Musicstax Metrics still being worked on?
Yes! Every single day. In the end of 2024 and start of 2025, we have already expanded our integration offering, adding Deezer, TikTok and Soundcloud. In 2025 we added YouTube Music and Instagram and made a wide range of design changes to make the platform more easy to use.
Is the Spotify Popularity score actually important?
Yes. We have observed with hundreds of artists who have used Musicstax Metrics, that pushing your popularity score above 30% through marketing efforts can really help out your song. Once you get above this level Spotify begins to give you natural algorithmic streams for free, which helps drive your song further. Budgets ranging from $50-500 can greatly increase a songs popularity score (dependant on it's current score)
What does this give me that Spotify for Artists does not?
Spotify for Artists does not expose your songs/artists popularity scores - one of the key metrics behind Spotify's algorithm. Spotify for Artists also does not bring in other metrics from other platforms
